Ruby Kavanagh closed out a wire-wire-win in the Women’s Club Championships yesterday. Ruby recorded four great rounds of 75, 76, 77 & 78 – 306. Sam Brown was runner up with rounds of 85, 92, 93 & 97 – 367.
The B Grade Championship was a close event all the way to the last hole, at the start of the day, Denise Reynolds held a one shot lead over Judy Rayfield and a 2 shot lead over Jenny Smallcombe, at completion of play, that order remained the same with all 3 players shooting the same score in the final round, with Denise taking the title on a score of 391 from Judy Rayfield on 392
In C Grade, Margaret Douglas held on to the 3rd round lead to win with a score of 434 from Annette Watts on 436
