Esden Firms in Title Defence

Defending Men’s Club Champion Glenn Esden has moved to the top of the leaderboard after Saturday’s 2nd round of the Club Championships.

Esden shot 75, to go with his first round 77 for a 36-hole total of 152.  He leads by three strokes at the halfway mark from Scott Mitchell and Zach Quirk, with Nigel Smyly a further stroke back.

Jayden Smee has opened up a four stroke lead over Mark Cameron in b Grade, after posting consistent rounds of 85.84 – 169.

In C Grade, Rob Burton and Rex Gillard sit tied on 195, two strokes clear of Paddy Walsh and Conrad Grabish.

The third round will be played this Saturday in conjunction with the Paddy Walsh Painting Monthly Medal, and the Top 20 players (gross) in each Grade will advance to the fourth round this Sunday.
