Lane Takes Out Mt Coolum North Shore Realty Pro-Am

In conditions perfect for scoring, Brisbane-based golf professional Nigel Lane won the 2022 North Shore Realty Mount Coolum Pro-Am with a terrific score of 68 (4 under par) yesterday.

The 54-year-old Lane has been a regular winner on the Legends Tour since turning 50, and his fondness for the course at Mount Coolum goes back decades, as he won a regular Pro-Am here in the late 1990’s.

Lane was full of praise for the presentation of the golf course, as was Runner-up Gary Burmester – who finished just a stroke behind Lane.

In total, 55 professionals contested the event.  such was the quality of the filed that 19 of the “Legends” shot even par or better, including Steve Jenkins Assistant Professional Greg Carroll – who finished tied for 6th at 1-under-par.

Steve’s other Assistant Professional TJ King – who was ineligible for the prizemoney as he is not quite 50, shot the best round of the day with a score of 67 which included 9 birdies!
